Senior Officials from the Embassies of Ecuador and Guyana Visit Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya!

Gwalior. Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya (SKV) today hosted a distinguished delegation comprising H.E. Fernando Bucheli, Ambassador of Ecuador to India, and Dharmkumar Seeraj, High Commissioner of Guyana to India. Fernando Bucheli represents the country considered the birthplace of 'cacao'—the key ingredient in chocolate, and home to the best-preserved historic center in Latin America (in Quito). A seasoned diplomat, he has served as the Coordinator of International Affairs for Ecuador's National Assembly and as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; he currently holds the position of Ambassador of Ecuador to India.

Dharmkumar Seeraj is the High Commissioner of Guyana, a nation known for its large population of Indian origin and its contributions to West Indies cricket. He has been a Member of Parliament in Guyana since 2006, is a senior leader of the People's Progressive Party, is regarded as one of Guyana's leading agricultural experts, and currently serves as Guyana's High Commissioner to India.

Upon their arrival, they were warmly welcomed by Principal Nishi Mishra and members of the school community. As a gesture of respect and appreciation, they were presented with welcome bouquets and mementos, followed by a 'High Tea' reception. Ms. Bharti Sood was also present on the occasion.

Subsequently, the visiting dignitaries toured the school campus. The visit included a tour of Madhav Bhavan (the academic block), where the dignitaries interacted with students and teachers associated with the school's robotics program, 'Sankalpana'. They also visited ‘Sankalp’, a social initiative of Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya dedicated to empowering rural women through the production and distribution of sanitary pads.

Their Excellencies commended the students for their innovation, social commitment, and sense of responsibility towards community development, and engaged in meaningful discussions with the young participants.
