The present priests of India claim that the ancient Hanuman temple at Connaught Place is the only temple in India that has a moon on its top. Of course, in today's era, this gift of Mughal Emperor Akbar is a symbol of Hindu-Muslim unity.

The building of the present ancient Hanuman temple was built by Maharaja Man Singh I of Amer during the reign of Akbar. Which was expanded by Maharaja Jai Singh II along with Jantar Mantar. It is said that many changes have taken place since the construction of the temple, but the idol of Hanumanji is installed at the same place where it was initially seated.
