Free food grains in this scheme without ration card

The central government has extended the free grain scheme for Migrant Workers and the poor till November in the wake of the Corona virus epidemic. Now, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) will also provide food grains to those people who do not have ration cards.

Union Food and Supplies Minister Ram Vilas Paswan said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said in his address on June 30 that the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) has been extended to the next 5 months i.e. November 2020. Under this, more than 80 crore NSFA beneficiaries of the country will be provided 5 kg of wheat or rice and 1 kg of gram free per person separately. Orders in this regard were issued on 30 June itself.

Ram Vilas Paswan said that people who do not have ration card Ration Card can also benefit from this scheme. They have to get their Aadhaar card and get registered for this scheme. After this, they will be provided with a slip, showing which they will be able to take advantage of this free grain scheme. Under the scheme, the poor and laborers will get free grain even without ration card.
