Its center is 119 kilometers northwest of Kargil. 

Shortly after the tremors were felt in Ladakh region, earthquake tremors were also felt in many areas of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. The intensity of this earthquake, which came at 2.02 in the afternoon, was measured at 3.6. Earlier, on July 1, two tremors were felt in Jammu and Kashmir on the same day.
